Why has Claude committed to L.E.A.D. for two years in a row?

An interview with Claude Picard of Nomad Massage Tables

Q: Claude, tell us a bit about Nomad Tables.
A: Nomad Tables is a Canadian company and leading manufacturer of high-end, ultra-comfortable, custom-made massage tables. We’re based in Montreal and have been around since 1997—in fact, last year, we celebrated our 20th anniversary!

Q: Who are your customers?
A: Our tables are used by a diverse range of professionals and organizations: people practicing massage therapy, physiotherapy, reiki, kinetic therapy, and other types of therapy; educators providing specialized training to students; and even osteopaths and chiropractors. Our tables can be found in spas, health clinics, sports and health centres, and other health-related businesses.

Q: Are your tables only for massage therapy?
A: Not at all. We have a line of tables for many uses, including massage but also esthetics (like facials or pedicures), and even for therapeutic treatments.

Q: What makes Nomad tables different than other tables out there?
A: First, each table is custom-made to our customers’ specific needs. We talk with each customer to get to know their exact preferences—whether it’s width of the table, thickness of foam, or other custom details. Second, the precision of our craftsmanship is top quality. Every time we make a table, we ensure it will withstand its lifetime warranty. And we individually test every one we make.

Q: Why is using responsible suppliers so important to Nomad Tables?
A: Being environmentally responsible and ensuring a sustainable product is part of our corporate values. The wood we use is harvested in managed forests, meaning that we’re not contributing to deforestation. As well, our foam and leatherette suppliers are certified as CFC-free.

Q: Which Nomad table is your personal favourite?
A: I’d say it’s the Nomad Spa table. It’s a luxurious and versatile table, designed for esthetics and massage therapy. It’s durable and portable, but also offers the comfort and versatility of a fixed or stationary table. Because of its stability and adjustable backrest, the table allows for a wide variety of treatments like massages as well as esthetics.

Q: What are you looking forward to most about the L.E.A.D. Conference?
A: Showing attendees our tables! There is a real benefit by being able to see our products live and up close. Attendees can mingle around, get a sense of how our tables feel and work, and see for themselves just how high the quality is.

Q: Is there anything else you’d like L.E.A.D. attendees to know about Nomad Tables?
A: We are a bilingual Canadian company based in Quebec, and excited to meet more spa and wellness professionals from across Ontario! I look forward to meeting you all at the conference—please feel free to approach me with any of your questions.
